3. Don't check your phone right away.

Every time we look at our phones, especially after being away for a while, such while we sleep, we invite a barrage of stimulus and nonsense into our brains. Your phone contains a lot of potential stressors for such a small device, such as news notifications, your bank account balance, and texts that require your immediate attention. And for many of us, once we check our phones, the rest of the day is pretty much spent connected in. Why not postpone that a little bit?

It is commonly known that drinking water has many advantages. Even though you should drink water frequently throughout the day, starting with a glass in the morning can help the process along. In addition to biologically (because, hey, you're getting some water in your body after eight-ish hours of not drinking), it also has a positive psychological impact. Does anyone else occasionally get to midday or later only to discover they haven't consumed a drop of the substance? Drinking your first glass of alcohol in the morning can be really beneficial. Some folks even take it a step further by placing a glass of water on their nightstand the night before.

However, playing video games while sipping coffee has got to be one of the nicest things I've added to my daily routine. Sincerely, I now begin each day with Pokémon Shield. It's easier for me to get up since my alarm clock no longer signals the start of the daily grind but the start of a two-hour chunk that is serene and focused on me time when I make time for something enjoyable and silly in the morning rather than just as a prelude to work.

Other suggestions include watching TV online, doing crafts, dancing to upbeat music, playing with your pets, reading, attempting a new breakfast recipe, or engaging in any other enjoyable or creative activities that you typically save for later in the day.

6. To avoid having to make decisions in the morning, prepare the night before.

Many successful people and productivity experts spend their evenings getting ready for the next day. They advise doing so because it frees up mornings for starting critical work early (and breakfast).

Accept the notion that an a.m. regimen might start in the p.m. Lay out your clothing for the next day. Pack your lunch. And make a to-do list or a checklist. Former CEO Pujara Seth told Fast Company that at night, he and his team write down three goals for the following day. Our capacity for decision-making and willpower is constrained.
